Even though plenty of us use Los Angeles public transit almost every day – there’s scads of little-known tips when it comes to tickets and rail timetables or bus routes. Perhaps you are aware of public transit tricks to get to a Los Angeles airport cheaply.

What are your thoughts on low fares or getting around the city on public transit in Los Angeles?

At night most drivers tend to be sympathetic about leaving people stranded. As long as you ask real nice, the briefer the better, and pull out a little pocket change, chances are better than not that he’ll let you ride “this time”.

Don’t try to be “slick” – the ones who do get tossed out on their ears. I work the night shift so I know what I’m talking about. . .

It’s known as the “Owl Service” and can be found at: http://www.mta.net
